Amid protests across the country over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Saturday whether we will make this country a hospice? He also said that to live in India, one has to say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

Addressing a function of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Maharashtra, Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Will the sacrifice of Bhagat Singh and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose go waste?” Did people fight for freedom so that after 70 years of independence, the country will consider the subject whether to count or not to count on citizenship? Should this country be made a dharamshala? Will it be able to live by whatever comes to this country. We have to accept the challenges on this subject. This topic will have to be clarified. ‘

He further said, ‘If you want to live in India, then you have to say Bharat Mata ki Jai too. He said that such people will be able to live in India, we have to clarify this idea. ‘

Let me tell you that there is still protest in the country regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act. In many parts of the country, people are protesting and protesting. Tauheed Jamaat took out a protest march against this law in Tamil Nadu on Saturday. On the other hand, the Congress also organized a march against this law in Mumbai.
