PM Modi launched campaign on Twitter in support of CAA, shared video of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a #IndiaSupportsCAA campaign on Twitter on Monday amid a nationwide outcry against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Civil Register (NRC). PM Modi posted a video of spiritual guru Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev to spread the campaign in support of CAA.

PM Modi tweeted on Monday (30 December), “Clear explanation of aspects related to CAA and hear more from Sadguru. He has cited the historical context and has mentioned the culture of our brotherhood in an excellent and brilliant way. Along with this, he has exposed the misinformation of some groups with vested interests. “

A message has also been posted on the Twitter handle of the Prime Minister’s personal website, stating that the CAA is meant to grant citizenship to refugees who have been victims of persecution and that it has not talked about taking citizenship. The message is posted with a hashtag called ‘India Supports CAA’.

PM Modi wrote, tweeting #IndiaSupportsCAA, because CAA grants citizenship to tortured refugees and does not take away citizenship. The PM further wrote in his tweet that in the Vice section of the Volunteer module of the Namo app, check out this hashtag to see fun content, graphics and more. The PM has written in his tweet to give his support in favor of CAA through this hashtag.

After this tweet of PM, it is believed that the ruling government is also going to start a big campaign regarding this act. It is believed that the PM has started this campaign to tell the people about this act, not bowing down to pressure from the opposition.

Significantly, the Citizenship Amendment Act is opposed by almost all opposition parties including Congress, TMC. There were vigorous protests in Delhi, UP, West Bengal, Bihar, Assam against this act. In many parts of the country, people are protesting and protesting.
