Madhya Pradesh: BSP MLA supports CAA, Mayawati suspended from party

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has suspended BSP MLA Ramabai Parihar from Patheria in Madhya Pradesh for supporting the Civil Amendment Act. Mayawati tweeted on Sunday, writing, “Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is a disciplined party and if it is broken, immediate action is taken against the party’s MPs and MLAs etc. In the same sequence, BSP MLA Ramabai Parihar from Patheria in Madhya Pradesh has suspended him from the party for supporting CAA. They have also been banned from participating in the party program. ”

Mayawati further wrote, “While the BSP first strongly opposed it, calling it divisive and unconstitutional, it also voted against it in Parliament and gave a memorandum to the President about its withdrawal.
