Congress lashed out at BJP for saying ‘Jumla Bell, Jumla Bell’, shared cartoons of PM Modi & Smriti Irani

New Delhi: The Congress targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by saying ‘Jumla Bell, Jumla Bell’ on the lines of ‘Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells’, which were sung on Christmas on Wednesday. For this, the party has tweeted cortune pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Textiles Minister Smriti Irani. In these, the strings have been tightened stating their wishes on the festival. The Congress tweeted from its official Twitter handle with the ‘Happy Christmas’ hashtag, ‘Jumla Bell, Jumla Bell, Jumlaaz All the Way … Oh what it is to see what an Honest Government Might.’ Cartoon illustrations of Amit Shah were written on what he wanted for Christmas. It indirectly cites Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks about NRC.

Let me tell you, the protest is still going on about the implementation of NRC across the country. However, during the rally held at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clarified that there was no discussion about it in the cabinet. Now Amit Shah said in an interview to the news agency ANI that there is no need to discuss the NRC in the whole country right now, because there is no discussion on it yet. He said, “PM Modi was right, so far there has been no discussion in the Cabinet nor in Parliament.”

At the same time, on the matter of becoming a detention center in the country, Amit Shah said that the detention centers that have been set up in the country are a continuous process. He said that no citizen can come and live in this country. There is a law of the country. Shah said that illegal immigrants are kept in detention centers, who do not have passports, visas. After this, the process of sending them to their country is done. They meant to say that those who came to India did not demand refugee status. Shah also said that lies are being spread on the matter of people being put in detention centers when NRC is implemented. The Home Minister said that Detention Center is held in every country. At present, there is no Detention Center in India except Assam. There is a Detention Center only in Assam and has been for many years.
