CAA Protest: Youth killed during protest in Bijnor, murder case filed against police

Bijnor: The protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act was violent in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. During this time a young man (Suleman) was killed. The deceased’s brother has filed a case against the police station in-charge Rajesh Solanki, the officer-in-charge Ashish Tomar, Swat team soldier Mohit and three other policemen who were removed after the violence. It is alleged that Suleman was shot from the house in the street in front of the madrasa. Bijnor police said that a case has already been registered in this case. Their complaint is part of the investigation.

Let us tell you that Suleman died in a violent demonstration in Nahtaur area on December 20 in Bijnor district. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Vishwajeet Srivastava said that Shoaib, brother of a young man named Suleman, who was killed during a violent protest in Nahtaur after offering prayers on that day, complained against 6 policemen. He said that the report filed against the miscreants in Nahtaur police station, will be investigated by attaching this Tahrir with the same.

The Superintendent of Police says that the mob attacked the police and snatched the service pistol of the inspector Ashish Tomar. While withdrawing the pistol, a young man named Suleman was shot in the stomach of Mohit, a soldier of the Swat team. Mohit opened fire in self-defense, injuring Suleman. He later died.

Let us tell that in this violence, another young man Anas died from a bullet fired from the crowd. SP Dehat said that Shoaib has filed a case against the station in-charge Rajesh Solanki, Daroga Ashish Tomar, Swat team soldier Mohit and three other policemen who were removed after the violence. Police is currently investigating the case.
